The Association was established in 1956, and on October 15, 1958, incorporated under the laws of the State of New York in the name of The Food and Beverage Association of America.

The Association is a not-for-profit professional organization composed of people from the hospitality industry to promote and encourage the adoption and application of improved standards, methods and the interchange of information in the food and beverage service industry. This for the betterment and progress of people actively engaged in the hospitality industry.
